The common cranes (kraanvogel) are back in large numbers. A few hours drive away there is a famous place where hundreds of cranes gather. Unfortunately I did not have time to go there this year, but there are plenty of cranes near our home. Unfortunately they usually show themselves near dusk and are fairly shy, so getting a sharp photo can be a bit tricky. 🙂
